TRIBUTE by Heni Neman

The story of Heni Neman is one of empowerment and personal success . . . an inspiration to all women.

Heni was born into an affluent family, well known in the textile business for generations. From an early age, Heni displayed a distinct talent for the arts; drawing, designing, painting, playing the piano etc.  She was the daughter of an old fashioned conservative father, so cultivating her craft in college was not an option.

As was the custom, at the age of nineteen, Heni was married to the son of a wealthy hotelier, and together, they began a life in Iran and ultimately had three beautiful children. With the critical change of government during the Iranian Revolution, violent demonstrations and air strikes, the country was left in pieces. Heni and her family fled to the US where they found refuge in Los Angeles.

Yet, the revolution that her family went through proved to not be the biggest hurdle of Heni’s life. Only a few years after coming to Los Angeles, she faced her most difficult personal challenge—the end of her marriage. At the age of 34, Heni found herself being the sole caretaker and provider for her family. She was divorced, with three children, no money, no job, and a ton of debt left behind by her husband.

Out of the anguish of her situation & the necessity of caring for her family, Heni dug deep within. She began a business in the basement of her home, designing and selling fashion items to friends and acquaintances. Soon her popularity grew and she expanded her business. A true survivor, she tapped into her natural talent for design and launched a custom jewelry line, a t-shirt line and eventually her own custom couture dress line. She became one of LA’s premiere custom couture designers, and for over ten years designed one-of-a-kind, couture gowns for the ultra rich and fashionable, costing up to $10,000 per garment.

But Heni believed that style should not just be for the wealthy. Her biggest wish was to offer her elegant designs to a wider audience of women. Her personal struggles reinforced her drive to instill in every woman a sense of inner value and worth. With that in mind, she joined her brothers, who had their own successful ventures in the garment business, and the four decided to combine their individual talents and build a business where they could develop top quality designer apparel, at realistically affordable prices.

In 2005 the company was named as a tribute to every woman who, amidst all limitations, can express her own wealth of creativity, inner freedom and independence. And Heni tributes every design to women who love fashion, and want to feel good about themselves. Being skilled in the precise cut and fit of couture, Heni knows how to design clothes that not only fit well, but flatter every woman wearing them. Her talent of blending fashion, comfort, fit and style resonates throughout her 2 year old TRIBUTE by Heni Neman collection.

And to her great pride, TRIBUTE by Heni Neman is now being acknowledged by fashion magazines and celebrities on a national level, and she has quite a loyal consumer following in the United States.

Today, Heni is remarried to a wonderful man, and together, they live very happily in Beverly Hills. The perfect happy ending (and beginning) for an amazing woman who created her own fairytale.
